Het Karbeel Rondvaart

A canal cruise paired with the best of Dutch cuisine at Het Karbeel. Cheese fondue with a view.

Canal cruise meets Dutch dining

Het Karbeel has been serving Amsterdam's best cheese fondue since 1977. The building dates from 1534. The restaurant sits on the Warmoesstraat, one of the city's oldest streets. And now you can combine it with a cruise through the canals.

The experience works both ways: cruise first and dine after, or dine first and cruise into the evening. Either way, you get two of Amsterdam's finest traditions in one outing.

The restaurant

Het Karbeel is family-run and locally famous. The cheese fondue is their signature dish, but the menu also includes satay, spareribs and a vegetarian pasta. Each dish is prepared with care and served in a warm, historic setting.

The cruise

The canal cruise departs from near the restaurant. Your captain takes you through the illuminated canal ring. In winter, the boats are decorated with a warm atmosphere and blankets. Drinks are included: wine, beer, soft drinks and hot chocolate during the colder months.
