Craft beer on the canals
De Prael is one of Amsterdam's most celebrated breweries. Born in the Red Light District, in a building that dates back to around 1300, it was one of the first truly Amsterdam-born brewing initiatives. Now their beer meets our boat.
The Beer Boat is a tasting experience on the water. Float through the canal ring while sampling De Prael's craft beers. Your host pours and explains. Your captain navigates and narrates. You drink and enjoy.
The beers
Taste the Bitterblond, a 5.7% German-style lager with Tettnang hops and a light citrus finish. Or the Weizen, a 5.4% wheat beer that's mild, fruity, with a hint of banana and cloves. More selections are available depending on the season.
Pair the beers with classic Dutch snacks: bitterballen, cheese, or a full sharing platter. Your host takes care of the serving.
On the water
The cruise takes place on our fully electric open sloop for up to 25 guests. The route is flexible. If you want to pass a specific canal or landmark, your captain will make it happen. The commentary is live, local and honest.
